Born and raised around the streets of Lausanne, in Switzerland, Yannick Burky started his musical journey when he was 19, when he discovered 16bit music on his Commodore 64. At this moment, Yannick Burky knew he wanted to be part of 'The Scene’.
The Commodore scene to begin with, but then later the music scene.
He first became interested in the electronic music scene in 1989. Later, he used the turntables of his parents secretly. At 22, he was organizing techno parties in rented theaters and schools. He did various warm up sets in open air techno parties, but stopped all these things to work as a sales manager, before creating his own digital company, which is now a big player in Switzerland. He also mixed in a 20 years old podcast every month until now.
In 2016, he achieved his big break when Yannick Burky realised it was the time to return to his first love: Music. After this point, he started to produce music full time.
After receiving several offers, Yannick Burky found Le Vibe Records Recordings, his own label, which helped distribute his first internet release, “Livin' The Dream”, in the same year. Though the single didn't sell as many as he probably would have liked, Yannick Burky is a fighter and since, he has been locked in the studio perfecting his craft.
Suffice to say, the EDM scene should be expecting big things from Yannick Burky in 2017.
